ash and i hung out today and ate large helpings of buttery blueberry coffee cake and talked and wandered and didn't know what to do but it was ok because just wandering and talking is sometimes more fun than having a specifically outlined activity called "fun" when sometimes real fun is just happening by accident. plus she didn't mind when i interrupted myself a hundred times to tell different stories that never ever have a beginning or an end and which often have a very foggy middle as well. i had fun. that is the beginning, the middle AND the end.
