Older
Here's the thing about being older:
I can finally walk down the street without someone hitting on me.
At work my peers listen, with interest instead of parental tolerance, when I speak my mind.
Surrendering to the truth is possible.
The idea of friendships, relationships and passions ending is less frightening because I know there will be more.
The world no longer dangles by a string of hope. I can now carry hope in my hands and give it away freely.
I can let go.
And I'm still so young.
