once someone made me a mixtape of songs about los angeles. it was because he was moving away permanently. i realized that i represented los angeles to him and he was trying to make some sort of connection with me, trying to hold on to what the city had been to him by holding onto me. i wanted to scream at him. "IT IS NOT ME THAT YOU WILL MISS!!!!"
i didn't, and maybe he will never realize it.
